Champagne Jean-Pierre Secondé is a family estate in Mailly-Champagne, a 100% Grand Cru village on the northern flank of the Montagne de Reims. The house has been active since 1975 as récoltant manipulant, with father Jean-Pierre (with experience at Laurent-Perrier) succeeded in 2026 by his daughter Annabel.
- Vineyards: The estate owns 9 hectares of its own vineyards spread over Grand Cru villages such as Mailly, Verzy, Verzenay, Sillery and Puisieulx, with a strong focus on Pinot Noir (the "Grands Noirs" region).
- Winemaking: Work is done with artisanal precision, including letting the juice settle for 12 hours after pressing and using only the first, clearest parts of the pressing (Cuvée). The champagnes have a low sugar content (often 8 grams/litre) and contain a significant proportion of reserve wine (up to 50%) for complexity.
- Champagnes: The range includes refined, Pinot Noir-driven cuvées such as:
- Grand Cru JPS: 75% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay, 3 years of ageing.
- Blanc de Noirs: 100% Pinot Noir from Mailly and Sillery, 3 years of ageing.
- Blanc de Blancs: 100% Chardonnay, 2 years of ageing.
- Cuvée Prestige: Blend from the oldest vines, 3 years of ageing.
