Champagne​‌​ J&H Fagot is a producer in Rilly-la-Montagne (Grand Cru, 10 km from Reims), located at 1 allée Dom Pérignon, 51500. The house is run by Hubert and Béatrice Fagot, the third generation continuing the family business since taking over in 2001 (origin 1956).

History and Winemaking

• Heritage: The Fagot family has been active in Rilly-la-Montagne for three generations; Hubert and Béatrice took over from their predecessors Anne-Marie and Joseph Fagot.
• Philosophy: Production is characterised by passion, love and respect for the earth, with attention throughout the year from the first bud to the harvest.
• Services: The house offers cellar visits, tastings and personalised bottles, and practises balanced farming (viticulture raisonnée).

Vineyards

• Location: The vineyards lie in Rilly-la-Montagne, a village that has been awarded four flowers and is classified as Premier Cru (first class).
• Area: The village has almost 900 hectares, of which more than 300 hectares are devoted to winegrowing.
• Cépages: The grape varieties are distributed as follows:
• 48% Pinot Meunier: for freshness and fruitiness.
• 32% Pinot Noir: for power and character.
• 20% Chardonnay: for finesse and elegance.
