Champagne Girard-Bonnet is a young grower house in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the Côte des Blancs, which brings together the vineyards of two families.
- History: Paul Girard (born 1995) studied viticulture in Avize and earned a double master's degree in Bordeaux before returning in 2018. He united the plots of his father Philippe Girard in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger with those of his mother Dominique Bonnet in Oger. The Girard family supplied the cooperative, while the Bonnet family made its own Champagne until 1988 under the name F. Bonnet Père et Fils. A new cellar was completed in 2023.
- Vineyards and terroir: The estate farms around 12 hectares, split almost evenly between the Grands Crus of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger, complemented by the Premier Cru of Vertus.
- Approach and style: Herbicides were already phased out from the 2000s. Paul Girard farms organically and biodynamically, with certification (organic and Demeter) around 2022-2023.
- Cuvées: The Chardonnay cuvées include À Mi-Chemin (the first cuvée, half Le Mesnil, half Oger), Mon Village, À Deux Pas, the Recueil series and single-plot wines such as Les Mussettes and Caferlane.
