Champagne Daniel Leclerc is a récoltant-manipulant in Polisot, in the heart of the Côte des Bar, where the family have been growers from father to son – and daughters. The business covers almost 7.5 hectares on the estate of the Ferme de la Maison Rouge, surrounded by its own vineyards.
Approach For more than 35 years the family has been developing its vineyards. As récoltant-manipulant it makes the champagne itself, from tending the vines through to the harvest and bottling. Traditional know-how is combined with modern techniques and equipment. The champagnes age for more than 15 months in the cellar before being sold.
Champagnes
- Brut Tradition and Brut Réserve: both 100% Pinot Noir
- Brut Cuvée Gabin: pure Chardonnay, vinified and aged for 7 months in oak barrels, then 5 years in the cellar
- Brut Rosé, a blend of the best black grapes
- Brut Rosé de Saignée from Pinot Noir from the heart parcel Les Protelles
The estate also makes ratafia and lets a gîte on the banks of the Seine. Visits are by appointment.
