Champagne Jean-Michel Bouchet et Filles is a family business in Sarcy (Marne department) that has been producing Champagnes since 1920. The business is built on four generations of craftsmanship, starting with Charles Bouchet, who inherited the land and passed it on to his son Serge, who together with his son Jean-Michel expanded the vineyards. Jean-Michel launched the first commercial bottles under the name "Champagnes Jean Michel Bouchet" in the 1970s. Today the family tradition is continued by Sophie Bouchet, the fourth generation, who runs the estate and preserves the heritage from father to son and daughter.
The wine house is a vigneron (winegrower), which means they grow and process their own grapes on their own site. The vineyards are mainly located in the Ardre Valley. The style of the champagnes is dominated by Pinot Meunier, resulting in wines that are characteristically round, likeable and fruity on the first taste, and then refine. Production takes place in typical Champagne stone buildings that were rebuilt in 1920, after the First World War.
