Arnaud Beaufort et Fils is a family house in Trépail, on the south-eastern slope of the Montagne de Reims. The Beaufort family already appears in the parish registers of Trépail in 1591 and has been growing vines without interruption for nine generations. The house was first called Claude Beaufort et Fils; today Arnaud makes the champagnes.
Vineyards
- 5.60 hectares of Premier Cru in Trépail, a small enclave of Chardonnay amid the Pinot Noir.
- Plantings: 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir.
- Sustainable viticulture without insecticides or herbicides, with soil cultivation; certified Haute Valeur Environnementale.
Methods The bottles age for several years in the cellars in Trépail; the vintages for at least eight years. The Cuvée de Réserve contains 20% reserve wines from a solera.
