Trépail is a wine village in the Marne department (51), on the eastern flank of the Montagne de Reims, between Ambonnay and Villers-Marmery, in the Grande Montagne.
- Cru: Trépail has Premier Cru status.
- Vineyards: unlike in most villages of the Montagne de Reims, chardonnay is the main grape here, complemented by pinot noir. The vineyards lie on limestone, on east- and north-east-facing slopes.
- Character: chardonnay from Trépail gives fresh, taut champagnes with a pronounced acidity, and is valued for blanc de blancs.
