Ambre de Solemme is a cuvée from Champagne Solemme, a family estate in Villers-aux-Nœuds, a few kilometres south of Reims in the Montagne de Reims.
- History: Catherine and Olivier Langlais took over the family estate in 2006.
- Vineyards and terroir: The estate covers 6 hectares of Premier Cru vineyards spread across five different terroirs, with soils of chalk, clay-limestone, silt and sand.
- Approach and style: The estate has farmed organically and biodynamically since 2010. The wines are vinified traditionally in stainless steel tanks, without chaptalisation, filtration or cold settling.
- Cuvées: Ambre de Solemme is a Blanc de Noirs made from 100% Pinot Meunier from a single chalky parcel in Villers-aux-Nœuds, from old vines. It is bottled as a Brut Nature, with no dosage, and is certified organic.
