About Champagne Jacquesson
History Champagne Jacquesson is one of the oldest independent houses, founded in 1798 in Châlons-sur-Marne by Claude and Memmie Jacquesson. The house enjoyed great renown in the 19th century under the innovative Adolphe Jacquesson, who invented the modern muselet and expanded production considerably; Napoleon I awarded the house a gold medal in 1810. Dizy lies in the Marne department, in the Grande Vallée de la Marne, directly north of Épernay and between Aÿ and Hautvillers. The village has Premier Cru status.
