JC Ricciuti is a Franco-American family estate in Avenay-Val-d'Or. The story begins in the Second World War: the American GI Albert Ricciuti, who landed on Utah Beach on 6 June 1944, met the young winegrower and Resistance member Paulette Révolte during the liberation of Avenay-Val-d'Or. The village of Avenay-Val-d'Or
Avenay-Val-d'Or lies in the Marne department, in the Grande Vallée de la Marne, just north-east of Épernay and on the southern flank of the Montagne de Reims. The village has Premier Cru status.
