Vauciennes lies on the left bank of the Marne, west of Épernay, in the Marne department. The village has no cru status. The village lies a short distance from Épernay, but has a rural character; viticulture is carried mainly by family businesses. Its location on the left bank means that many slopes face north, which brings freshness to the wines.
- Location: in the Vallée de la Marne Rive Gauche, on the slopes south of the river, opposite Damery.
- Vineyards: meunier is the main grape, complemented by pinot noir and chardonnay, on soils with clay, marl and limestone.
- Wines: fruity, approachable champagnes, characteristic of the western Marne valley.
- Producer: Castelger is based in Vauciennes.
