Val-de-Vière is a small commune in the Marne department, in the arrondissement of Vitry-le-François. It belongs to the Vitryat, the wine zone around Vitry-le-François in the east of Champagne, and has no cru status. The Vitryat is one of the smaller and lesser-known wine zones within the Champagne appellation.
- Location: near Vitry-le-François, far from the well-known wine slopes around Reims and Épernay.
- Vineyards: the vineyards of the Vitryat, also known as the Perthois viticole, are largely planted with chardonnay, on lime-rich soils.
- Wines: fresh champagnes in which chardonnay sets the tone.
