Rizaucourt-Buchey is a small village in the Haute-Marne department, on the eastern edge of the Côte des Bar, not far from Bar-sur-Aube and Colombey-les-Deux-Églises. It is one of the small number of communes in the Haute-Marne that fall within the Champagne appellation. The village has no cru classification.
- Vineyards: as in the neighbouring Bar-sur-Aubois, pinot noir predominates, planted on limestone-marl slopes. The vineyard area in the Haute-Marne is modest and has only a handful of champagne businesses.
- Character: the champagnes are ripe and fruity, in the style of pinot noir from the Côte des Bar.
- Producers: Nicolas Bass is based in the village, with a cellar and tasting room on the Chemin des Vignes.
A walking route, the sentier des Coteaux de Champagne, starts at the village wash house and runs past the vineyards of Rizaucourt.
