Nogent-l'Abbesse lies at the foot of the Monts de Berru, east of Reims (Marne department). The commune has no cru status.
- Vineyards: the Monts de Berru form a small, isolated hill massif with vineyards on the slopes. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier are all three grown here.
- Character: the champagnes are fresh and fruity, with the liveliness of a relatively cool site.
- Producers: Laborde and Lenne make champagne here.
The village lies close to Reims and is one of the lesser-known wine-growing communes around the city, where the grapes often find their way to the houses in Reims.
