La Chapelle-Monthodon is a small village in the Aisne department, in the western part of the Champagne vineyards, south of the Marne between Château-Thierry and Dormans. It has no cru status. The village lies in a quiet, rural part of the appellation, where small family businesses set the scene.
- Location: in the Vallée de la Marne Ouest zone, in the hilly landscape south of the river.
- Vineyards: as throughout the western Marne valley, meunier is the main grape, on soils with a lot of clay and marl.
- Wines: fruity, supple champagnes in the style of the western Vallée de la Marne.
