Cormoyeux is a small wine village in a side valley north of the Marne, in the Vallée de la Marne rive droite, between Épernay and Dormans (Marne department). The commune has no cru status.
- Vineyards: the slopes consist predominantly of clay and marl soils. As on most of the right bank, Pinot Meunier is the main grape.
- Character: fruity, supple champagnes, characteristic of Meunier from the Marne valley.
- Producers: Boude Baudin, Faniel & Fils and Mondet are based here.
The village lies in a quiet, wooded valley and is a typical example of the small wine communities on the right bank of the Marne, where viticulture shapes village life.
