Cormontreuil lies directly south-east of Reims, on the Vesle, in the Marne department. The commune is largely urbanised and forms a suburb of Reims, but it is on the list of communes whose wines may bear the Premier Cru designation.
- Location: in the Reims: Vesle & Ardre zone, on the northern edge of the Montagne de Reims, near Taissy.
- Vineyards: the vineyard area is small. As in the surrounding Premier Cru villages, pinot noir, meunier and chardonnay grow on calcareous soil.
- Producers: there are no well-known champagne brands based in Cormontreuil itself; the grapes generally go to houses and cooperatives in the region.
