Cauroy-lès-Hermonville lies in the Massif de Saint-Thierry, the hilly area north-west of Reims, in the Marne department. The village has no cru status.
- Location: in the northernmost offshoot of the Champagne vineyards, near Hermonville and Saint-Thierry.
- Vineyards: meunier and pinot noir predominate, complemented by chardonnay. The soils in the Massif de Saint-Thierry are varied, with sand and clay as well as limestone.
- Wines: fruity, approachable champagnes in which meunier often forms the base.
- Character: the Massif de Saint-Thierry is less well known than the Montagne de Reims; the villages are small and rural, with many family businesses.
