Bezannes lies directly south-west of Reims, in the Marne department, and has Premier Cru status.
- Location: the village borders the city of Reims and is heavily urbanised; it is also home to the Champagne-Ardenne TGV station. Only a small vineyard area of a few hectares remains.
- Vineyards: the plantings consist almost entirely of Chardonnay, on the chalk subsoil that is usual around Reims.
- Character: because of the small area, the grapes are usually used in blends by larger houses and cooperatives; champagnes with Bezannes as their origin are rare.
The Premier Cru status makes the village interesting above all as one of the cru communes closest to Reims.
