History The champagne house was founded in 1922 by Edmond, the great-grandfather of the current owner. In 1955 his daughter Liliane, together with her son Pierre, launched the brand Veuve Olivier et Fils. Management currently lies with Sandrine Charpentier-Olivier, with the support of her parents Michelle and Pierre.
Vineyards The 21 plots cover more than 18 hectares in Trélou-sur-Marne, in the Vallée de la Marne. The grape varieties are mainly Pinot Meunier, complemented by Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Rational pest management and natural grass cover are used to preserve the typicity of the terroir.
Working methods As a Récoltant-Manipulant they make their champagnes entirely from their own grapes. The vinification takes place plot by plot to preserve the individual characteristics. A traditional Coquard press is used for slow pressing, combined with modern technology. The champagnes are blended from reserve wines and wines from different plots.
Champagnes The range includes several cuvées, including Cœur de Cuvée Meunier and Plaisir Secret. A Blanc de Blancs is also available, made from 100% Chardonnay from old vineyards, which ages for six years on the lees in oak barrels. The champagnes have won awards, such as a Gold Medal at the Concours Féminalise and a star in the Guide Hachette.
