Champagne Taisne Riocour is a family house in Les Riceys, in the south of the Côte des Bar (Aube), the largest commune of the Champagne appellation.
- History: The de Taisne family has grown grapes in the Aube since 1837, but sold the harvest to large Champagne houses until 2014. Since then it has bottled its own wines. The label honours the parents, Angelito de Taisne and Claude de Riocour; Pierre and Charles de Taisne run the house.
- Vineyards and terroir: The estate owns around 20 to 21 hectares in Les Riceys, mainly Pinot Noir, with vines averaging some 30 years old. Since 2016 the entire vineyard has been HVE-certified.
- Approach and style: The house works with the oenologists Jean-Philippe Trumet and Laurent Max.
- Cuvées: The Blanc de Noirs is a 100% Pinot Noir from three plots (Tronchois, Pragnon and Val-Germain), fermented in stainless steel, with 10% reserve wine, aged for three years and dosed at 3.5 g/l. The house also makes a Rosé de Saignée and vintage wines.
