Champagne Perrine Fresne is a young independent grower in Sermiers, a Premier Cru village in the Petite Montagne de Reims.
- History: Perrine Fresne is the daughter of wine growers. In 2020 she started her own micro-estate with 3 hectares of the family's 9-hectare holding. Her first cuvée came from the 2020 harvest.
- Vineyards and terroir: She is one of the very few producers making wine solely from grapes grown in Sermiers, a village where cooperatives dominate.
- Approach and style: Meunier plays a central role in her work. Her rosé is vinified in oak.
- Cuvées: The Sarmate cuvées are named after the inhabitants of Sermiers, the 'Sarmates'. Sarmate I is an extra brut of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier based on the 2020 harvest, with reserve wines from her father. Le Mahomet is a rosé de saignée from old Meunier vines with about twelve hours of skin contact. There is also a Blanc de Meunier 2020 and Les Basses Croix.
