Champagne Pernet & Pernet is a family business that has produced champagnes since 1872 in Blancs-Coteaux (Côte des Blancs), located at 19 boulevard Carnot. The current management is in the hands of the fifth generation: Marion, Kurt, Romain and Léo Pernet, who took over the business after the death of Nadine Pernet in 2010.
History and Vineyards The estate has 9 hectares of vineyards with an average age of 35 years, located between Vertus and Ambonnay. The vineyards consist of 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir and are classified Premier and Grand Cru. Since 2014 the family has fully evolved to organic and biodynamic farming (Demeter-certified), with the aim of preserving biodiversity and the purity of the terroirs.
Approach Vinification has been carried out entirely in-house since 2014, with the aim of plot-by-plot vinifications and long ageing on the lees. In 2023 the house invested in a new cellar and a modern press, which improved the infrastructure. It follows respectful practices such as gentle pruning and night harvesting to preserve the freshness and quality of the grapes.
Champagnes The offering consists of various cuvées that reflect the characteristic freshness and finesse of the Côte des Blancs, including:
- Blanc de Blancs (mainly Chardonnay from Vertus)
- Blanc de Noirs (Pinot Noir from Ambonnay)
- Ambonnay Blanc de Blancs
- Rosé
