Champagne​‌​ Marie Senellart is a sixth-generation wine house based in Ville-Dommange, a village in the Montagne de Reims that is classified Premier Cru. The business is run by Sophie and Sébastien Senellart, who combine the traditional know-how of their ancestors with modern viticultural practices.

History and working method

• The house has 189 hectares of vineyards around Ville-Dommange and Écueil, consisting largely of Pinot Noir.
• Sophie Senellart leads the "Champagne Tour", a proven experience that runs from vine to bottle.
• Visitors gain insight into the viticulture, the pressing and the ageing in the cellars, where millions of bottles are stored.
• The estate is labelled "Vignobles & Découvertes" and also offers accommodation in the Clos de la Tourelle.

Champagnes and tasting experience

• The champagnes are an expression of the terroir and the long history of the family.
• A well-known product is the Brut Réserve Premier Cru, a millesime (such as 2014) with a dominant Chardonnay (70%), supplemented with Pinot Noir (25%) and Pinot Meunier (5%).
• These cuvées are known for their fruity aromas (citrus, white fruits), fresh balance and a finish with a slight spicy touch.
