Champagne Louis de Sacy is a family house in Verzy, a Grand Cru village in the Montagne de Reims.
- History: The Sacy family was already settled in Verzy in 1633. Only in 1958 did André Sacy decide to label the family's champagne under the family name; he named the house after an ancestor, Louis de Sacy, a lawyer, writer and member of the Académie française. Alain Sacy ran the business from 1986; in 2018 siblings Jonathan and Yaël Sacy took over.
- Vineyards and terroir: The estate has 18 hectares across 23 plots, mostly Pinot Noir, in places including Verzy, Cernay-lès-Reims, Trêlon and Bligny. The house also buys grapes from about 5 hectares belonging to other growers.
- Approach and style: Since the 2023 harvest, production in Verzy and Cernay-lès-Reims has been organic. The vineyards are managed with tillage, natural grass cover, cover crops and vitiforestry. Since 2024 new cuvées have been released under the name Sacy Sœur & Frère.
- Cuvées: The range includes Originel Extra Brut, a Grand Cru Extra Brut, the Brut Nature Cuvée Nue, a Rosé de Saignée Grand Cru, Les Courtisols Grand Cru and Grand Soir Grand Cru.
