Jackowiak-Rondeau is a family house in Pargny-lès-Reims, in the Montagne de Reims. The story begins after the war with Wladislaw Jackowiak, a Polish officer who stayed in France and married Marthe Rondeau, a winegrower's daughter. Together they made the first bottles in 1948; the Polish eagle on the label is a tribute to him. Today his grandson David Jackowiak carries on the family tradition.
Vineyards The estate covers almost 6 hectares in the Montagne de Reims, with Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay. The house is certified VDC and HVE and also makes champagnes with no added sulphites.
Style The champagnes are on average 9 years old, giving them a soft, slightly maderised taste with notes of apple.
