Gratiot-Pillière is a family house in Charly-sur-Marne, in the south of the Aisne near Château-Thierry, in the Vallée de la Marne. The craft has been passed down from generation to generation for more than three centuries; today the house is run by Olivier and Sébastien Gratiot.
Vineyards The 18 hectares stretch over some fifteen kilometres of the Vallée de la Marne. Meunier accounts for 80% of plantings, complemented by Chardonnay (15%) and Pinot Noir (5%); the oldest vines are almost 50 years old. The vineyards are farmed sustainably with minimal intervention, and all plots are grassed over.
Champagnes The cuvées are predominantly Meunier-based: Brut Tradition, Extra-Brut Tradition, Demi-Sec Tradition, Brut Rosé, Brut Millésime, Blanc de Blancs and the old-vine cuvée Héritage.
