Champagne‌ Fluteau is a family business in Gyé-sur-Seine (Côte des Bars, Aube), founded in 1935 by Émile Hérard and his son-in-law Georges Fluteau. Originally a négociant, Thierry Fluteau took over the leadership in 1996 (formally 2002/2003) and switched to the rare status of récoltant-manipulant, using only his own grapes. Since 2020 the operation has been led by the fourth generation, Jérémy Fluteau (with his sister Adeline).

Vineyards and Terroir The estate has 9 hectares of vineyards on the south slopes of the Seine valley. The soil is mainly clay-limestone, ideal for the dominant variety Pinot Noir (85%). The remaining 15% consists of Chardonnay. The vineyards are divided into seven plots with their own names, such as Les Evallons and Val de l'érable. The grapes are grown according to principles of sustainable farming and organic fertilisation.

Method and Champagnes Vinification takes place in thermostatically controlled stainless steel tanks with full malolactic fermentation. After riddling and a minimum ageing of 2.5 years (up to 8 years for vintages), the yeast is removed by ice disgorgement. The champagnes are generally extra brut to preserve freshness. The range includes the cuvées Symbiose, Rosé Aube'Seine, Rétrospective, Echo Rosé, Echo and Cœur de Cuvée, with the Pinot Noir character at the centre.
