Eve des Rêves is the champagne brand of a family business in Reuilly-Sauvigny, in the narrowest part of the Vallée de la Marne. The Ledernez family, once vinegar makers in Courtemont-Varennes, became involved in winegrowing at the beginning of the 19th century. The brand was launched in 2007; the family combines winegrowing with horse breeding.
Vineyards The estate covers more than 3 hectares, spread over communes including Passy-sur-Marne, Le Breuil, Nesles-la-Montagne, Mont-Saint-Père, Connigis, Reuilly-Sauvigny and Courthiézy. It grows Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Since 2016 the estate has been certified VDC and HVE-3; almost all plots are grassed over, and since 2020 the soil has been worked mechanically as an alternative to herbicides.
Approach Pressing and vinification are entrusted to two cooperatives, COVAMA and La Grapillère; the latter was co-founded in 1966 by Camille Ledernez.
Champagnes The wide range includes Brut Tradition, Brut Rosé, Extra Brut (zero dosage), Dry Obsession, the blanc de blancs Folie, a Millésime, L'Insolent Meunier (100% Meunier), L'Extravagant Rosé and Secret de Vieilles Vignes, a vintage from vines over 30 years old, aged in barrel.
