Clément Leclere runs the family estate Champagne Leclere-Minard in Coulommes-la-Montagne, on the western side of the Montagne de Reims. He took over the business fully in 2021.
- Vineyards and terroir: He farms 2.3 hectares of family vines spread over three terroirs: Coulommes, Tramery and Courmas. The Le Mont Robert vineyard in Tramery, in the Ardre valley, was planted with Meunier in 1969.
- Approach and style: Clément Leclere trained with David Léclapart and Julien Guillot. He vinifies plot by plot in oak barrels, with indigenous yeasts and without chaptalisation, fining or filtration.
- Cuvées: His first cuvée, Trame Noire, was released in a run of just 993 bottles. He also makes still Coteaux Champenois, such as the white Le Chemin des Roses and the red La Trame Rouge from Meunier grown in Le Mont Robert.
