Ch. de l'Auche is a champagne cooperative in Janvry, some 15 km west of Reims. The story begins in 1961, when seven independent winegrowers jointly bought a Dollat press, which is still in use today. Others soon joined them and together they created a range of Blanc de Noirs; the name refers to the locality of "l'Auche" in Janvry.
Vineyards
- Some 100 hectares from 60 winegrowers, spread over about forty crus, some of them Premier Cru.
- Mainly Meunier and Pinot Noir on clay, sand and limestone soils; 80% of the grapes come from the Vallée de la Vesle, with Janvry and Germigny supplying half.
- Certified HVE/VDC; the first organic harvest took place in 2024.
Champagnes The cuvées are based on about 85% Meunier and 15% Pinot Noir:
- Brut Sélection, Brut Nature and Brut Rosé.
- Chapitre I: Blanc de Meuniers, 100% Meunier.
- Chapitre II: 100% Pinot Noir.
- Millésime (2019).
