Champagne Bouxin & Fils is a family business in Rilly-la-Montagne (Montagne de Reims) that has been producing champagne since 1944. The estate is currently run by the fourth generation, including Steeve Bouxin, who continues the tradition of respect for the terroir.
History and Vineyards
- The family began planting vineyards in the Marne in 1944, with the first production in 1956.
- The estate has 6 hectares of vineyard, located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims (a 1er Cru area).
- Three grape varieties are grown: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
Approach and Production
- The grapes are harvested by hand and then pressed to extract the juice.
- After alcoholic fermentation comes the second fermentation in the bottle for the bubbles, followed by ageing of 15 to 36 months.
- The process ends with riddling (remuage), dégorgement (disgorging) and dosage.
- Annual production is approximately 18,000 bottles, aimed at a European clientele.

- Demi-Sec 2019
