Champagne Alexandre Le Brun is an independent wine house located at 9 rue Saint-Vincent, 51530 Monthelon, in the heart of the Côte Sud d’Épernay. The house is known for being a 9th-generation family business that has been producing champagne since 1750, run by Alexandre Le Brun himself, who continues the tradition of his ancestors.
The operation comprises 3 to 5 hectares of Premier Cru vineyards, spread over six municipalities including Chouilly, Mancy and Sézanne. The grape varieties are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Alexandre Le Brun is a Récoltant-Manipulant, which means he carries out the entire cycle from hand harvest to bottling himself, with a focus on minimal intervention and preserving the identity of the terroir.
The champagnes age in a hand-built vaulted cellar from 1822. A distinctive method is vinification in oak barrels, which contributes to the finesse and complexity of the wines. The house produces limited quantities, including millésime champagnes such as the Fascination 2007 and Révélation 2009, and is known for its artisanal, mineral and gastronomic style.
