Champagne Alain Couvreur is a family estate in Prouilly, in the Massif de Saint-Thierry north-west of Reims.
- History: The Couvreur family were originally coopers. The Alain Couvreur brand was born in 1959; today Alain's sons David and Rémy run the estate.
- Vineyards and terroir: The estate farms just over 6 hectares of vines spread across Prouilly, Pévy, Branscourt and Unchair.
- Cuvées: The range includes a Blanc de Noirs based on Pinot Noir (around 85%) completed with Meunier, L'Ambre d'Opale (Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with no dosage), L'Ambre de Jade, the Cuvée Décennie, a Blanc de Blancs and a rosé. The Blanc de Noirs shows a smoky, spicy nose with notes of melon, peach and dried fruit, and a taut, citrus-led finish.
