About Champagne Frédéric Savart
History: The estate was founded in 1947 by René Savart. His son Daniel took over the leadership in the 1970s, after which Frédéric Savart took over full management in 2005. Frédéric, who originally wanted to become a footballer, decided to return to the family business in Écueil to vinify the wine production entirely himself, a step he definitively completed in 2012-2013 by leaving the cooperative. The village of Ecueil
Écueil lies in the Petite Montagne de Reims, south-west of Reims (Marne department). The village has Premier Cru status. Vineyards: the soils here are lighter, with sand and clay over the chalk.
