Champagne​‌​ Daniel Pétré & Fils is a family house of independent growers in Ville-sur-Arce, in the Côte des Bar, founded in 1748 by Édmé Pétré. The family has now passed on the craft through fourteen generations. Vineyards The estate covers some twenty hectares between Ville-sur-Arce and Essoyes. Plantings are 72% Pinot Noir, 22% Chardonnay and 1.5% Meunier; the rare old varieties Arbanne, Petit Meslier, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris together make up 4.5%. Ville-sur-Arce is a wine village in the Aube department (10), in the Côte des Bar, in the Barséquanais, in the valley of the Arce east of Bar-sur-Seine. The village has no cru status.
