About Champagne Burtin
Burtin is a champagne house in Épernay, founded in 1933 by Gaston Burtin, who started from nothing and quickly made his name thanks to strong ties with local growers. For many years he reserved his finest cuvées for a small circle of grower partners; under the Hommage à Gaston Burtin label they are now shared more widely. The village of Épernay
Épernay lies on the left bank of the Marne, at the crossroads of the Vallée de la Marne, the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims (Marne department). The town has no cru status, but together with Reims is regarded as the capital of champagne.
