Trigny is a wine village in the Marne department (51), in the Massif de Saint-Thierry, the hill country north-west of Reims. The village has no cru status.
- Vineyards: the vineyards of the Massif de Saint-Thierry lie on clay and sand over the chalk subsoil. Meunier and pinot noir predominate, complemented by chardonnay.
- Character: the champagnes are fruity and juicy, with freshness and an earthy touch from the sandy soils.
- Producers: those working in Trigny include Guy Blin-Laurent and Maxime Blin. The Forest-Marié estate is also based here. The Grand Cru house Egly-Ouriet from Ambonnay sources the grapes for its cuvée Les Prémices from old vines in Trigny.
