Champagne Trépo-Lériguier is a fifth-generation family business based in Vanault-le-Châtel in the Côteaux Vitryats region of Champagne. The house is known for its exclusive focus on the Chardonnay grape and its commitment to organic farming.
History and Working Methods
The Trépo family has been active in Vanault-le-Châtel for five generations. Since 2008 Bertrand Trépo has chosen to harvest the grapes at night; the lower temperatures protect the quality of the grapes. The cellar and the nearby vineyards are open to visitors, often followed by a film and tasting.
Vineyards and Products
The vineyard area consists exclusively of Chardonnay. The house style is original and intuitive, with currently five different cuvées in the range. A specific speciality is the cuvée "Songe d'une nuit de vendange", which refers to the night harvest.
