Champagne Soutiran is a family house in Ambonnay, a Grand Cru village in the Montagne de Reims, run by Valérie and Patrick Renaux.
- History: Gérard Soutiran, whose family came from the Pyrenees and who grew up in Ambonnay, laid the foundations of the house after a military career. His eldest son Alain set up his own company in 1969 under the name Soutiran-Pelletier, later shortened to Soutiran. Alain's daughter Valérie took over in 1989 and concentrated on sales and exports. Her husband Patrick Renaux joined in 1999 and later took charge of winemaking.
- Vineyards and terroir: The family vineyards lie around Ambonnay. The house also works with Premier Cru plots in places including Trépail, Chigny-les-Roses, Ludes and Chamery.
- Approach and style: The house is known for its Pinot Noir and for long ageing on the lees, often five to eight years.
- Cuvées: The range includes a Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru, a Brut Nature Grand Cru, Collection Privée Grand Cru, a vintage wine and Cuvée Alexandre, named after Valérie and Patrick's son.
