The current owners, Lysiane and José Moncourant, took over the estate from their family; the historic farm, built at the end of the 19th century, was handed down to the family in the 1950s and has been transformed by them into a home that combines authenticity with fantasy and pastel-coloured accents. Lysiane Moncourant is the passionate winegrower who oversees the vineyards on a daily basis.
Vineyards and Winemaking
The vineyards lie strategically on the slopes above the marshes of Saint-Gond, surrounded by woods and ponds. Lysiane Moncourant's approach is strongly connected to nature and the terroir; she approaches viticulture as "reading nature", carefully monitoring the health of the vines. This attention to detail and harmony between the grapes and their environment results in champagnes with a pronounced character and freshness.
