History: The house began in the late 19th century with Louis Roguet, whose son Lucien produced his own champagnes. After the Second World War, grandson Pol Roguet rebuilt the vineyards and reintroduced the name "Lucien Roguet" as a tribute, a tradition continued by his son Alain and grandson Samuel Roguet (takeover 2000).
Vineyards: The family cultivates 7 hectares exclusively of Grand Cru vineyards in Mailly-Champagne (Montagne de Reims). The soil is argilo-calcaire (limestone-clay) and the average age of the vines is around 30 years. The grape varieties are 70% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier.
Winemaking: As a Récoltant-Manipulant, Samuel Roguet masters all stages of the process, from hand harvesting to sale. The winemaking includes responsive and sustainable farming (VDC and HVE certified), vinification in stainless steel, enamelled vessels and wooden barrels, and manual riddling on pupitre. The champagnes are characterised by a lasting freshness and the aromatic power of a single terroir.
Champagnes: The range includes:
- Tradition Brut: The standard house style, a blend of the three grape varieties.
- Blanc de Blancs: 100% Chardonnay, known for its elegance and citrus aromas.
- Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut: Made from black grapes.
- Gourmandise Demi-Sec: A sweeter version.
- Rosé: A rosé champagne from the Grand Cru terroir.
- Millesimé: Limited editions of specific years (e.g. 2018).
Annual production is between 45,000 and 50,000 bottles. Visitors can visit the cellar at 6 Rue Thiers, 51500 Mailly-Champagne.
