Champagne Loriot Père & Fils is a family-run business in Villers-sous-Châtillon (Marne), founded in the 1920s by great-great-grandfather Robert Loriot. The business is led today by the fourth generation, with Pierre-Etienne Loriot as current owner, together with his wife Cassandra.
- Vineyards: The vineyards lie on the right bank of the Marne Valley on argilo-calcaire soils with a southern exposure. The estate uses viticulture raisonnée (balanced farming) and grows four grape varieties: Meunier, Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Petit Meslier.
- Winemaking: As a vigneron récoltant-manipulant they process their own grapes. Vinification takes place in thermostatic stainless steel cuves, with oak barrels also used for some cuvées. The champagne rests in the cellar for at least 15 months, while prestigious cuvées age for up to 10 years.
- Champagnes & Visit: The range includes blancs de blancs, blancs de noirs (such as the recent cuvée "YENNEFER") and rosés. The estate offers cellar visits and tastings, often in a modern tasting room with a view of the old cellars and a small museum. The contact details are: 15 rue des Vignes, 51700 Villers-sous-Châtillon, telephone 03 26 58 36 26.
