Champagne Konrat is a small family estate in Châtillon-sur-Marne, in the Vallée de la Marne, run by Faustine and Marc Konrat.
- History: Marc Konrat comes from a family of winegrowers; his grandfather already farmed vines in Champagne, which then lay dormant for fifty years before the couple brought them back to life.
- Vineyards and terroir: The vineyards lie on the heights around Châtillon-sur-Marne and Montigny-sous-Châtillon, on sand and limestone terroirs.
- Approach and style: The estate is in conversion to organic farming and works according to biodynamic principles, following the lunar calendar in the cellar. Part of the wine is aged in oak barrels. Visitors can come for sales, guided visits and accommodation.
- Cuvées: The range includes the Collection series, a vintage, the Velours cuvée and a rosé of meunier, pinot noir and chardonnay, half of which is raised in oak.
