Champagne Couvent Fils is a family business in Trélou-sur-Marne (Vallée de la Marne), founded in 1947 by Clarisse Couvent and later run by Sylvie and Gérard Monnin.
- History: The first bottles were sold in 1947; the name evolved into Couvent Fils in the 1960s. The business is legally an SARL, established in 1986.
- Vineyards: The estate has 3 hectares of vineyard, mainly in Trélou-sur-Marne with a plot in Mareuil-le-Port. The grape varieties are 70% Pinot Meunier, complemented by Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
- Approach: The grapes are harvested by hand and the wine is made according to the traditional method. Blending is done in collaboration with an oenologist. The estate offers visits, tastings and rural accommodation.
- Champagnes: The range includes Cuvée Signature (Pinot Meunier-dominant), Cuvée Esquisse (Rosé), Cœur de Cuvée Meunier (Blanc de Noirs), Plaisir Secret (Demi-sweet) and Millésime (vintage). The champagnes are aged for an average of 24 to 36 months.
