Champagne Charles Degodet is a family business in Savigny-sur-Ardres (Marne, France), located in the Ardre valley, near Reims. The estate has been active since 1999, when Charles Degodet took over the business from his father, with the family history going back to the 17th century.
Vineyards and Vinification The estate owns 2.3 to 2.5 hectares of vineyard with the classic Champagne grapes: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. The viticulture is certified as Viticulture Durable en Champagne (VDC), which guarantees sustainability and respect for biodiversity. Production is approximately 6,000 bottles a year. Characteristic of the house is the use of amphorae for certain cuvées and free disgorgement (dégorgement à la volée) of the bottles.
Champagnes and Cuvées The range runs from accessible styles to exclusive editions:
- Brut Tradition and Brut Réserve (standard non-vintage).
- Rosé and Grande Réserve.
- Millésimé (vintage) in variants such as Blanc de Blancs and Blanc de Noirs.
- Cuvée Amphore: an authentic, rare cuvée fermented and aged in amphorae.
- Magnum Blanc de Blancs: a very limited edition (100% Chardonnay), new in the spring of 2026.
Visits and orders are possible via the website or by appointment at the estate.
