About Champagne Sabine Godmé
History: Champagne Godmé Sabine is a family business that goes back to 1920, when the grandparents Joseph and Antoinette Godmé married and brought the brand to market for the first time. Sabine Godmé and her husband Jean-Marie Guillaume took over the estate in 1994 as the fourth generation, after experience in winegrowing and tree nursery work in the US. The village of Verzenay
Verzenay lies in the Marne department, on the northern flank of the Montagne de Reims, south-east of Reims. The village has Grand Cru status. Vineyards: the largely north-facing slopes on chalk are planted predominantly with pinot noir, complemented by chardonnay.
