Champagne Roland Champion is a récoltant-manipulant in Chouilly, on the Côte des Blancs, and a member of the Club Trésors de Champagne (Special Club).
- History: The family has grown grapes on the Côte des Blancs since the eighteenth century, initially selling the harvest to négociants. André Champion began making his own champagne in 1929. After his early death, his son Roland took over the business at the age of sixteen; in 1951 the house was renamed Champagne Roland Champion. Roland's son François, an oenologist, now runs the estate together with his daughters Carole and Clémence.
- Vineyards and terroir: The estate farms 18 hectares spread over some 40 parcels, planted with 70% chardonnay, 20% pinot meunier and 10% pinot noir.
- Approach and style: The grapes are picked by hand and pressed immediately on site. The wines age in a cellar carved into the chalk, kept at a constant 12 °C.
- Cuvées: The range includes the Éclat de Craie Blanc de Blancs, the Rosé Carat and the Spécial Club.
