Champagne René Rutat is a récoltant-manipulant in Vertus, at the southern end of the Côte des Blancs.
- History: The Rutat family originally delivered its harvest to the cooperative. The house bears the name of René, the first of the family to make his own champagne. His son Michel ran the estate from 1985; since 2016 Flavien and Baptiste Rutat have been in charge.
- Vineyards and terroir: The estate farms about 7 hectares of premier cru vineyards, spread over some thirty plots in Vertus.
- Approach and style: The new generation farms organically. The emphasis is on chardonnay.
- Cuvées: The range includes a Blanc de Blancs Brut, a zero-dosage Nature and vintage wines.
