Champagne Patrick Soutiran is an independent wine house based in the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay (Montagne de Reims), founded by Patrick Soutiran in 1971, succeeding his father Gérard. The estate is currently run by Patrick's children, Estelle and Fabrice Soutiran, who as récoltants-manipulants (grower-producers) work their own vines, harvest and vinify themselves.
The estate manages a vineyard of 3 hectares in the communes of Ambonnay (Grand Cru) and Trépail (Premier Cru), with a focus on the noble grape varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The family takes an artisanal and natural approach, with deep respect for the soil and tradition, and produces champagnes that are praised for their elegance and complexity.
The portfolio includes various cuvées, including:
- Le Blanc de Noirs: A white champagne made from Pinot Noir.
- Blanc de Blancs: A champagne made from Chardonnay, often from Trépail.
- Dosage Zéro: A non-dosed champagne.
- Précieuse d’Argent: A prestigious cuvée.
- Millésime Sérigraphie: A vintage Champagne.
Visitors can visit the estate for tastings and tours; opening hours vary, but it is often possible to make appointments via their website or via tourist channels in the Marne region.
